The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 20 reveals Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will feel betrayed by Devon Winters (Bryton James).
Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will hear all about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) big move. Plus, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will brainstorm. And Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will reunite with Nina Webster (Tricia Cast).
Y&R spoilers tease Traci will be excited to have a fun night out at The Shadow Room. She’ll greet Cricket and be thrilled to also see Nina there. They’ll order drinks and gossip and reminisce about the good old days.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Traci Asks Silver Fox Bartender For His Number
Cricket will explain that her husband needs them to try out the drink menu and they’ll be happy to oblige. Nina will share that she met her new boyfriend at a grief recovery class and they’ll be happy for her. The silver fox bartender will bring them their next round of drinks and smile coyly at Traci. So, she’ll ask for his number.
Meanwhile, Sally will walk up to Billy and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and say she can’t wait to hear what their toast is about. Billy will ask why she’s back already and Sally will say her sister was released from hospital. He’ll say he has big news and Audra will head out. Then Billy will tell Sally everything he found out about the unpaid loan his father made to Phillip Chancellor.
“My mother kept it secret for years and years, that ends now,” Billy will say. “I’m taking over Chancellor Industries.” Sally will ask if he’s absolutely sure and Billy will tell her he would not be saying it if he wasn’t. It’s real and he wants to share it with her. Sally will seem happy for him, but she’ll worry that his family isn’t behind him on this.
At Crimson Lights, Adam will tell Chelsea he’s writing an article about their old friend Billy Abbott. “I am not going to be part of another one of Victor’s hatchet jobs against Billy,” Chelsea will reply. But Adam will say it has nothing to do with his father.
He’ll tell he found out there was a secret deal in the past and the Abbotts may own Chancellor. “This is the makings of a huge scale, epic war.” Chelsea will say Sally probably doesn’t even have the story yet and she’ll wonder about Cane and Lily.
“This is gonna get really messy, real fast,” she’ll add. “Yeah,” Adam will reply. “Isn’t it great?” Chelsea will ask what his angle will be. “This could give the new and improved Newman Media a much needed shot in the arm,” he’ll reply. “And be somewhat an embarrassment to our competition, who is Billy’s fiancé.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Adam Asks Chelsea To Question Billy
So, he’ll ask Chelsea to talk to Billy and get his version, but make it seem casual. “He won’t be able to help himself.” Chelsea will ask if Billy wins in the end if they won’t put a negative spin on it. Adam will give her his word he won’t. Chelsea will say she’ll take one for the team and he’ll kiss her.
Finally, Devon will meet with Lily and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) at Society. His sister will say something urgent with the family has come up and they need his help. Devon will ask why Cane’s there if it’s about their family.
Lily will say she wants Cane there, he’s been a huge help. “You wanna protect your sister Devon,” Cane will tell him. “I’m not the enemy here.” Devon will say that would be a first. They’ll argue and Lily will ask him to put his feelings aside and help them. Devon won’t be keen on it.
“Really, what about your grandmother?” Lily will ask. “Because it’s her company on the line.” So, Cane and Lily will lay it all out. “Billy’s already walking around like he owns the place,” Lily will say. Devon will point out John and Katherine were good friends, he can’t imagine she wouldn’t pay a debt back.
“I think if she knew about this today, she would honor the agreement,” he’ll add. “Which is what I think the two of you should do.” Lily will get upset and tell him he knows Katherine would have fought for the company. “I think the real reason is you don’t like the fact that Cane is in charge of Chancellor.” But Devon will tell her she doesn’t need Chancellor.
“You promised your sole focus would be on our family’s company, is that not true?” Lily will accuse him of just wanting Chancellor in anyone else but Cane’s hands. “This is really, really disappointing.” Devon will leave and Lily will tell Cane they know exactly how much money John lent to Phillip. So, she’ll call Jack, asking to meet in the morning. “I have a proposition for you.”
